Along with the joy of riding with our friends, there comes that time when they depart this world.

This page is a memorial to those we knew and loved sharing the camaraderie of riding with.

In Memory of our riding friends..................

Eddie Ray Mays

July 10, 1963 - July 5, 2005

Eddie Ray was a man full of joy and a joy to be around. There was never a dull moment whether working, socializing or riding with Eddie. If he wasn't telling amusing stories, joking with someone, he'd be pulling pranks on someone.  Eddie always had something to say about anything, sometimes I wondered if he talked in his sleep also.

Last fall, he got tired of the rest of us talking about our rides together and how much fun we were having, and bought a Wide Glide to enjoy riding with us. He, as well as his helpmate and companion, Donna, fell in love with riding.  He'd tell us when he rode to work, he'd have to take her off the back of the bike because every time he started the bike, she jumped on it. This past spring, Eddie went to his first rally in Myrtle Beach. Also this summer, he bought his son Brandon a 1200 Sportster so he could spend quality time with his son and share the joy of riding with him. Eddie had planned on taking his son to the fall Myrtle Beach Rally this year.

Our last group ride together was an overnight trip to Mammoth Cave which he had us in tears laughing the entire weekend. We will all treasure that weekend forever. Eddie, we all love and miss you.............

Eddie was killed at our workplace in a fatal accident.
